Rush River Percherons, LLC has been in business since 1998 and was previously known as Spring Creek Farms. We grew up in the horse business, and have more than 30 years experience in showing and breeding draft horses. Our farm operations grew from a foundation brood mare and stallion group of 8 to 12 head to now typically more than 40 horses on our farm at any given time. At the very start of our business, we were very active in raising and showing the Belgian breed of draft horse, but for the past 20 plus years, we have focused exclusively on the Percheron draft horse breed.

Our passion for this business is driven from a love we have for agriculture and horses. Our strong values of Integrity, Respect, Commitment, and Contribution are truly the values on which we operate our business. We strive for excellence in all aspects of the business. It is important to us that this passion and commitment can be seen through all aspects of Rush River Percherons’ operations; from the high standards we set in the care and organization of our farm to our hitch and horses. Over the years, we have worked diligently to improve our facilities, equipment, and breeding program to become a world class operation.
We further support and contribute to the Draft Horse business by sponsoring and encouraging young people to be involved in Rush River Percheron’s breeding and show operations. This provides an opportunity for others to share and experience agriculture and a love for horses that we have been fortunate to grow up with and enjoy.

We believe we have assembled, by both purchasing and breeding, some of the very top pedigrees in the Percheron Draft Horse business today. Our Hitch Mares contend at the very top of the most competitive Hitch Performance Shows across the United States and Canada. In addition to these Performance Shows, we also compete and show our Percherons at Lead in Halter competition.  We are very purposeful in planning our breeding program by choosing breeding lines that engender excellence in Confirmation and Performance.
